THE KRIYAS – Cleansing Practices : GATEWAY TO PRANAYAMA AND BEYOND
New Date tbc : 13.30 - 15.30
Workshop for yoga teachers for The Yoga Teacher's Forum
£30.00
Open to all yoga teachers
I am excited to be invited to host ‘Kriyas – Cleansing Practices : A Gateway to Pranayama and Beyond ’ for The Yoga Teacher’s Forum. I look forward to welcoming all yoga teachers to this special event. We have been living through extraordinary times. Join me in the cleansing qualities that the kriyas bring to purify our mind, body and spirit, to lighten our load.
The Yoga Teacher’s Forum was set up by Julia Davis of Finchley Yoga, who created this wonderful Monday afternoon gathering for learning and exchange between yoga teachers.
In our two hour session, we will immerse ourselves in the practice of kriyas, and share our experiences and the enquiry that arises. We will also see how this fits into the different ways and contexts in which the term 'kriya yoga' is used in yoga philosophy and practice.

We will forever be students of yoga, as each step we take, the path grows longer.
My Pranayama Journey
Kriya practices are very close to my heart. I have been fortunate to have studied under my teacher and mentor Sri O.P. Tiwari of the Kaivalyadhama Institute (www.kdham.com) in India for over twenty years. Sri Tiwari is considered one of the few remaining masters of pranayama and yoga in the world today.
For over a decade I have studied with my other main teacher Dr Ananda Balayogi, benefiting from his wisdom as a distinguished yogi, medical doctor, visionary yoga therapist and personal guide. Head of Gitananda Ashram in Pondicherry of CYTER. The Centre for Yoga Therapy, Education and Research – bridging the 'gap' between modern science, traditional yoga, spirituality and modern living.
In our two hour session, we will immerse ourselves in the practice of kriyas and share our experiences and the enquiry that arises.
