For beginners to advanced yoga students, to those seeking therapeutic support, MaxineYoga offers classes tailored to personal requirements.: pregnancy and postnatal yoga, yoga for seniors, recovery from illness and injury, stress and anxiety. The type of yoga is adapted to you: dynamic, yin, gentle, restorative yoga, breathing, meditation and relaxation techniques.
One to Ones are an excellent way to be introduced to yoga and to be grounded in the fundamentals before joining a group class. Leave feeling more confident on how to work with your body and to start – or refine a self practice if you wish.
Classes range from 45 to 75 minutes. They can be booked as one- off individual sessions or in blocks of 5 or 10 classes. Sessions can be at the Home Studio or Maxine can travel to you. Please call to discuss your specific needs. Rates vary according to the number of participants & classes booked. Please contact me.

HATHA YOGA
Explore working with your breath and body awareness to strengthen, re- balance and improve flexibility of mind body and spirit. All classes include breathing techniques, yoga postures, flowing sequences, meditation and relaxation. Students are encouraged to practice at their own pace.
The focus is on enhancing mental and physical well-being, and building stamina, strength and flexibility along the way, in a friendly, supportive and relaxed environment.
Tuesday evening classes are limited to 12. The Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning classes are more bespoke, semi-private classes with maximum 9 spaces, tailored
to individual needs.

GENTLE YOGA
The Wednesday Gentle class is specifically aimed at those who prefer a more gentle practice. Ideal for newcomers to yoga. Open to all levels of experience and ability. Students benefit from tailored guidance. Discover or re-visit the fundamental principles of yoga in a supportive and friendly environment.
Both the Gentle and the Mellow classes Include gentle and effective movement, breathing, stretching, and tension release. Both are excellent if you are interested in mindfulness or meditation, are recovering from illness or injury, or simply chose to take things easy and are seeking a gentle movement class. Benefits also include improving stamina, flexibility and breath capacity.
The difference between the Gentle and the Mellow Chair Yoga and Meditation classes is that Mellow Chair Yoga does not require going down to floor level.

ACTIVE FLOW
A semi- private class. Limited spaces to permit personalised attention and individual adjustment. Open to the fairly fit, this active class will improve mental and physical well-being. Some experience of yoga is recommended.
Maxine will cover essential steps towards mastery of physical flow. Receive expert instruction on key tools for an Astanga Vinyasa yoga practice: Learn about pranayama((breathwork), bhandas ( locks), vinyasa ( flow), and dristi ( gaze).
Expect to work with greater ease, connect more deeply to your energy, breath and core body. Strengthen core muscles through movement and breathing to effectively, efficiently and mindfully tone, stretch and re-align the body. The perfect way to develop your fitness, strength and flexibility safely and wisely and to attain a state of total well being.

MELLOW CHAIR YOGA AND MEDITATION
Practice targeted exercises safely. Increase energy levels, fitness, strength and immunity, improve joint flexibility and enhance your overall mental and physical well being. Includes gentle and effective movement, breathing, stretching, and releasing tension. Less active participants can do all the movements sitting in a chair. Open to seekers of mellow yoga of all ages, and particularly ideal for mature students.
Excellent too if you are interested in mindfulness, meditation and improving your breathing, are recovering from illness or injury, or simply need to take things easy and are seeking a gentle movement class.
The difference between this and the Wednesday Gentle class is that it does not involve going down to the floor.

SUNDAY MORNING WORKSHOPS
These highly enjoyable yoga mornings offer the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in a great two and a half hours of yoga poses, breathing, meditation and relaxation. Informative and practical. Maximum 8 participants. Open to all levels.

These shared semi private classes are designed to offer you the right support and information when you need it most – in the crucial first postpartum months. As part of a small group you get to ask questions, receive expert guidance and invaluable tips you can do at home, with or without your baby.
Get fit & meet other local mums locally in a relaxed atmosphere with your baby in the comfort of Maxine's Home Studio. Learn highly effective focused exercises to strengthen core muscles, re-align, tone and energise your postpartum body. Release tension, relax and speed your recovery.

JEWISH MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION ('JMM')
Seated in chairs enjoy a relaxing and replenishing hour of meditation and gentle movement in a friendly and inclusive environment. A gentle meditative and physical practice open to all. No experience, or faith/ religion required.
Explore fresh ways of cultivating a personal spiritual practice though accessing your Jewish heritage. This is interwoven with simple yoga movements, contemplation, breathing and mindfulness meditation to create space for reflection and complete well being.

KIDS, TEENS & STAFF
Home Studio or Maxine will travel to you.
Tailored to the specific needs/age of the group. With the stresses and demands of exams and life at large looming. Taking a little ‘time out’ to have some ‘time in’ is an essential tool for facing everyday challenges with a cool head.
The perfect anti-dote to all the stimuli from full-on living – from electronic devices and social media (not to mention the hormones), this is great ‘time out’. Highly enjoyable sessions working with breath, movement, balance and posture. Kids and young adults learn simple tools to reduce stress, improve concentration and self confidence – building strength, physical fitness and energy levels along the way. Non-competitive and for all physical abilities.
